About The ArtMothership This piece reflects Temakha's journey within her energy centers many know and refer to as the chakras. Inspired mostly by her studies of the Tao, Kemetic Reiki, and sacred geometry, Temakha explores the divinity of femininity as being the portal of creation and medium between the heavens and the earth. Channeling inspiration from Yoruba traditions, Ancient spiritual texts, the vast music catalog of Earth Wind and Fire, Temakha created this totem to express the mind, body, soul connection of Motherhood. Temakha used the recycled elements of a bulletin board and metal materials from the scrap bin of her jewelry designing mother, Taunya Benton to create this piece which is infused with the intention to inspire viewers to heal one's personal relationship to their feminine energy and also any relationships with mother figures in their life journey to lighten one's heart to brighter more fruitful creations to come.
